El noveno álbum de estudio es el conocido como “The White Album” o Álbum Blanco debido a su portada totalmente blanca, obra de Richard Hamilton. Apareció a finales de 1968 y es el primero editado por el propio sello de The Beatles: Apple Records.

Según el Blog de Rocky Raccoon, que enlazo, los detalles de la edición inglesa y las etiquetas de los vinilos son los siguientes:

El Album tuvo tres ediciones entre el 22/11/68 y mediados de 1970.
La primera, abarca desde su lanzamiento hasta inicios de 1969, en el doble formato, Mono y Stereo, (PMC 7067 y PCS 7067 respectivamente)
La segunda, desde diciembre de 1968, a mediados de 1969, incluyendo la aclaración “An EMI Recording” sobre el márgen izquiredo.
La tercer edición, salió el 25/9/1970, sólo formato Stereo
Es el primer Album “Apple” (“Parlophone”) Compañía subsidiaria de la EMI.
Tanto la edición en Mono, así como también la Stereo, imprimen número de matriz por disco en las etiquetas con la novedosa manzana, verde de un lado y “cordada” del otro. En el Doble editado en Mono,  las matrices llevan las siglas XEX y numeradas desde el 709-1 al 712-4 inclusive (son cuatro caras). La edició en Stereo, lleva la sigla YEX, con los mismos números de matrices, sin los guiones.
Las dos fundas eran color negro.
La autoría en cada canción no es nominal , sino que se limita a “Northern Songs” (Derechos de Autor de Lennon-Mc Cartney) y en el caso de composiciones de Ringo Starr o George Harrison  “Apple Publishing Ltd” precedido por un asteriscoel cual es definido en la parte inferior de la misma (“Lennon-Mc Cartney except.) y menciona al autor, sea George o Ringo.
La producción en serie americana, contiene la autoría nominal, o sea dice : John Lennon-Paul Mc Cartney. Para las canciones de Ringo o George, primero contiene la sigla “ASCAP”, seguido de la autoría (George Harrison o Ringo Starr).
Otros detalles :
En la parte superior de las etiquetas originales inglesas dice : “Production by GEORGE MARTIN”, y a renglón seguido “Orchestration by GEORGE MARTIN”. La americana sólo dice “Produced by George Martin”
Edición original inglesa, en la etiqueta de Apple, márgen central izquierdo bajo la velocidad del disco (33 1/3 rpm), dice : Mftd. in UK.
La edición americana coloca en la etiqueta la inscripción : Recorded in England en la parte inferior de la etiqueta.
Siempre en la ediciones americanas en el márgen izquierdo dice : STEREO.

El álbum contenía cuatro fotografías de los miembros del grupo en hojas sueltas en color (he encontrado una versión firmada por ellos) y otras impresas en el propio álbum en blanco y negro:

Es un álbum doble, el único que publicaron, que alcanzó el nº 1 en todas las grandes listas de éxitos. Contiene las siguientes canciones (y datos complementarios a cada uno de los temas):
